The Muslim Almoravid Empire, Morocco & Spain, 1100s

The Almoravids were a Muslim dynasty that grew out of the Moroccan deserts and ended up creating an empire that stretched across North Africa and Spain. They are the army against whom El Cid fought. They were headed by a man called Yusuf bin Tashfin, and my Moroccan trilogy covers the three lives of the women who lived by his side. More information coming soon.
