Speaking and Teaching
I love writing but it can be solitary at times and I really love to meet people and talk! So as well as my writing, I also run workshops on creative writing, coach individual writers and give talks about my books. Below are a few examples. If you want to get in touch about any of these, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
I’ve developed and run a lot of workshops over the years, including sessions on creative writing, writing historical fiction, writing non-fiction, storytelling for businesses and being an author-entrepreneur. I really enjoy working with a room full of people and building up their knowledge and enthusiasm. If you have a workshop around these areas you’d like me to develop and run, let me know. Below some feedback from attendees.
A most insightful workshop on writing/publishing your book: not to be missed.
Melissa managed to pack so much information into a short space of time and her delivery was engaging and entertaining.
Hard won gems of experience from someone who has actually done it. Practical, pragmatic and entertaining.
The best workshop I’ve been to at the British Library.
I occasionally work one-to-one with individual writers who want to focus on an aspect of their work, whether it’s developing a stronger writing habit, honing their storytelling skills or thinking about becoming a full-time author. If this is something that might interest you, drop me a line and we can have a chat to see if I can help you achieve your goals.
I’m always happy to hear from festivals, writing groups and individual bookclubs if you’d like me to come along and speak about my books. If you are outside of London we might be able to set up a Skype or Facebook Live session if I can’t come in person.
A brilliant and amazing hour FULL of ideas that can be implemented right now. Inkslingers’ Den
